HOW TO VOTE

2027 Federal Election — polling places open 8am to 6pm.

    Go to your local polling place on 2027 Federal Election. Polling places open at 8am and close at 6pm. You can also vote early at pre-poll centres from late April.

    You will receive a ballot paper for the House of Representatives. You must number every box — from 1 to however many candidates there are — for your vote to count. Every preference matters.

  3. 3

    Write 1 next to MURRELL, Brett. This is your first preference — the candidate you most want to win.

  4. 4

    Number all remaining candidates in any order you choose. Every box must be numbered for your vote to count.

  5. 5

    Fold your ballot paper and place it in the ballot box. That's it. You've done something that matters.

VOTE BEFORE 9 MAY

Pre-poll voting opens several weeks before election day. Pre-poll centres are open during business hours across the electorate. No reason required to vote early.

VOTE BY POST

Apply for a postal vote if you cannot attend in person. Applications must be received before the close of rolls. Return ballot by the deadline.

Make sure you are enrolled. Rolls close at 8pm on the day the federal election is officially announced. Check now — don't leave it too late.
