The deal works like this. Australia's mining industry contributes a fixed levy on commodity value at the point of sale. In return, they get fast approvals — 6 months instead of 8 years — and cheap power delivered to every mine gate in Australia via the SBC corridor grid. The levy funds the Sovereign Build Corporation. The SBC builds the infrastructure. As SBC revenue grows, income tax falls — from 30% flat today to 20% over 10 years on legislated triggers. Not a promise. A mechanism. The SBC is the centrepiece. Six national corridors totalling 20,000 kilometres — carrying power, water, gas, rail, maglev, and fibre across the Australian interior. Phase 0 starts immediately: Melbourne to Brisbane via the inland spine, zero tunnels, planning now — operational years before the government's $93 billion HSRA tunnel reaches anyone. Then Phase 1 extends the network: SBC Phase 0 runs through Robertson — Newcastle is the endpoint of the inland corridor. 200 new towns, each with power at cost, water piped south from the monsoon north, high-speed maglev connectivity, and rents at $150 per week. The housing crisis does not end with a policy paper — it ends when there are 200 new places worth living that people can actually afford.

We cancel AUKUS and redirect $368 billion to what Australia actually needs — sovereign defence and a defence force Australians control. Defence spending rises to 3% of GDP. 🚆 THE IMMEDIATE DECISION — PHASE 0 AND THE HSRA DISASTERThe Australian Government is committing $659 million to develop a $93 billion tunnel under Sydney — 115 kilometres underground through nine national parks, whose own reviewer Infrastructure Australia says it cannot assess for value for money. It serves six coastal Labor electorates. It opens in 2042. It ignores the entire inland corridor. It carries no freight. It is Snowy 2.0 in a different hole in the ground — the same pattern of political announcement before engineering assessment, the same low design maturity, the same warnings from independent reviewers, the same sunk cost trap closing in 2028 when the Final Investment Decision locks the corridor forever.

The MMP has the alternative: the SBC Phase 0. Melbourne to Brisbane via the inland corridor. 1,940km total — 465km new-build from Western Sydney Airport to Newcastle — zero tunnels, beside the 168-year Main North freight railway, through the Hunter Valley, serving Maitland, Singleton, Muswellbrook — the communities the HSRA ignores completely. Phase 0 delivers 8 services: three electrified freight tracks (the first in Australian history), 500+km/h maglev, 72GW HVDC generating $4–6B per year from Day 1, sovereign fibre, gas + H₂ pipeline, water conduit, and LPG pipeline. Cost: $88B at volume — the same as the HSRA, but for 8 services instead of one, opening 12 years earlier. The Phase 0 corridor terminates at Newcastle — right in the heart of the Robertson and Hunter corridor seats. Newcastle to Sydney: under 1 hour on the upgraded CCN. Newcastle to Brisbane: under 2 hours on the inland spine. For the first time, the Central Coast and Hunter have a real alternative to the $31 HSRA fare.
